The main Jefferson Hospital website is multi-layered with many components acting simultaneously reaching multiple audiences.
The site spans over 40,000 pages of content that incorporates Jefferson's main branding, key product lines, health information libraries, press releases, media libraries, doctor databases, and approximately fifty department websites. It generates over ten million hits monthly with over one million unique visitors.
The idea of the website is present one front-facing portal to varied audiences and to be a resource for the healthcare community. Each piece has to be well-maintained in order to unify to one seamless experience.
Due to it's stature, the website is template driven and is built using a Content Management System (CMS). I was the main administrator for the site, creating/updating content, managing design, training departments to use the CMS, and interfacing with IS to ensure consistency.
